Welcome to St Mary's Park

Tucked just south of Burghill, St Mary’s Park is a private collection of 96 beautiful homes set within an extraordinary nine acres of shared parkland.

This is more than a housing estate. It is a community woven into nature.

Residents enjoy exclusive access to sweeping lawns, landscaped gardens and a carefully curated arboretum that changes with the seasons. At the heart of the park lies a tranquil lake, home to wildlife and a peaceful backdrop for daily walks. Resident deer add to the unique character and quiet charm that make St Mary’s Park unlike anywhere else in Hereford.

The amenity land is owned collectively by homeowners, creating a shared sense of pride, stewardship and belonging. It is a place where neighbours connect, children explore safely, and nature is part of everyday life.

St Mary’s Park offers the rare balance of countryside calm with easy access to Hereford city, combining privacy, space and community in one exceptional setting.

The History of St Mary's Park

The land that is now St Mary’s Park has a long and fascinating history. For over a century the site was home to St Mary’s Hospital, formerly the Hereford County Asylum, which served the county from the late 1800s until its closure in 1994.

Since then, the grounds have been transformed into the residential parkland community we see today. While the estate has evolved, its landscape and heritage remain an important part of the story of St Mary’s Park.
